Responsibilities
- Research and gather climate-related data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
- Transform complex data into compelling and accessible stories for publication on NESS websites and social media platforms.
- Collaborate with data visualization experts to incorporate data-driven elements into articles.
- Cover local and international climate-related events, policies, and developments with a data-driven approach.
- Conduct interviews with experts and stakeholders to gather insights for data-driven stories.
- Stay up-to-date with climate science, environmental policies, and data trends.
Preferred Background / Interest
- A keen eye for data and experience working with datasets.
- Passion for environmental issues and climate change.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools or languages such as Excel, Tableau, or Python (desired, not required).
- Good command of the English language.
- Conversational Cantonese language skills would be appreciated.
- Basic understanding of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and climate change.

- Conduct interviews with policymakers, experts, and stakeholders for in-depth analysis.
- Collaborate with data journalists and visualization experts to integrate data-driven elements.
- Cover NESS events, projects, and initiatives from a policy perspective.

- Understanding of public policy and advocacy.
- Passion for environmental issues and climate change.
- Strong writing skills and the ability to communicate policy information effectively.
- Good command of the English language.
- Conversational Cantonese language skills would be appreciated.

- Create and implement strategies to raise awareness and promote behavior change.
- Evaluate and assess the impact of interventions, adjusting strategies as needed, while considering the multicultural context.
Preferred Background / Interest
- Background in social work, community development, or related field.
- Experience in designing and implementing community programs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for environmental and climate issues.
- Good command of the English language
- Ability to converse in languages including, but not limited to Cantonese, Filipino, and Bahasa Indonesia would be advantageous.
